Delightful and unusual bird, the beautiful pink flamingo - upon research  - I found some interesting information. 

Did you know flamingos get their colors from the food & plants they eat?  It takes them several years to aquire the beautiful pink color and hook shaped bill!  They also are monogamus so both mom and dad work together raising their young.   Both parents can produce and feed their chicks crop milk.  They are social birds living in a colony.   Lots of reasons to love this beautiful bird!
